You'd think being February that New York would be full of snow. Well, it has snowed, but no more than an inch or two, and you would only see that in Brooklyn or Queens. With all the tunnels and hollow areas under the streets that have warm air running though them, it hasn't stayed cold enough for snow to stick in the city. Some love it, others are in grave fear of global warming. But I digress.


Tuesday was a good night for those of us that call the east coast our home. The NY Nicks beat out the LA Lakers at Madison Square Garden (MSG) and the majority of our gang are LA people and thusly were devistated at the loss of thier home team. I wish I had more tissue, but they handled it well. I've never been much in to pro basketball since the Atlanta Hawks have sucked more than a dyson, but that was a find game to watch.

Tonight I just returned from the the canal room to see/hear the Bjorkestra perform in all their 18-piece bigband jazz glory. WOW.. even if you don't care for her music or never heard her stuff before, you would really appericate this - I'm sure of it. Most of my friends that went with me were not familiar with her music, but could totally appericate the level of talent that was on that stage tonight. Most of these musicians were NY session folk, all at the top of their craft. I just stood there with a grin ear-to-ear and felling the music. It was awesome. You should listen to the clip I posted below. They're releasing an album out soon, so I plan on getting a copy.


I'm on call at work this week, so my plans this weekend are pretty low-key. I'm playing drums for the first time at Origins, and looking forward to playing and doing what I love to do in service. The following week I'll be back in Atlanta for a longer stay, so be ready for some time to chill. I have a wedding to attend, but other than that, my plans are open right now.
